Vishwas Makam was initially a Mechanical Engineer. After serving a short stint in his initial career, he didn't just leave it for the proverbial ``path less taken``, but went on to a pathless piece of uncultivated land and decided to farm and cultivate, literally turning over a new leaf. He studied a few courses and attended several workshops around India, all related to farming, to get a hands-on experience of what it takes to develop his vision. And since home is where the heart is and his heart was set at farming, he decided to get the experience of farming closer to our urban homes, which marked the inception of SquareFoot Farmers

Arun Gundmi is a post graduate in Business Administration, who gradually moved closer to his roots. Coming from a family with a long legacy of agriculture, dealing with crops, cattle and cultivation on a daily basis defined much of his formative years. In his own words, “Just as grass still grows through the cracks in concrete…”, Arun aims to change the urban mind set and promote growing edible foods in this environment. Inherited with a storehouse of knowledge, he wishes to pay it forward through SquareFoot Farmers. Arun also runs the popular Aahar Utsav restaurant in Banashankari.
